The Scholastic Sports Network (SSN)
was established in an effort to promote high school athletic events through an online high school
sports entertainment television network. SSN features full length games, features, interviews, and
newsworthy articles and offers them online and on-demand. SSN represents a new wave of technology
where the internet can essentially offer everything television does, but in a more interactive environment.
Brian Bassett
, Founder of The Scholastic Sports Network, is a television and video producer and avid sports fan.
A former high school athlete in Howard County, MD in the early 90’s,
Brian has retained many of the
relationships and contacts that he made throughout the state of Maryland and utilized them in order to create
a product that high school parents, coaches, student-athletes, and supporters have learned to go to for the
latest and most professional amateur athletic coverage in the mid-Atlantic region. Brian directs and manages
all aspects of video from highlights and interviews, to full-length game and feature productions.
