Scholastic Sports Net is unique. It is like nothing you have ever seen before.

The Scholastic Sports Network (SSN) was established in an effort to promote high school athletic events through an online high school sports entertainment television network. SSN represents a new wave of technology where the internet can essentially offer everything television does, but in a more interactive environment. By utilizing cutting-edge technology, Scholastic Sports Net has pioneered high school television on the internet!

The SSN team has over 50 combined years in the television industry!

Brian Bassett is a television and video producer and of course an avid sports fan. Brian has produced and co-hosted numerous games and studio shows for television and the internet. A former high school athlete in Maryland in the early 90's, Brian understands the importance that professional media coverage can have on a student-athlete's high school athletic career and preparation for college.

Jay Nowaskey is the webmaster and longtime basketball coach in the mid-Atlantic area. Jay provides unprecedented flexibility, reliability, and creativity to the way all of our user-based systems operate to ensure an easily navigated website. As a coach, Jay has been part of many of Maryland's top high school teams and frequently directs and teaches area basketball fundamentals clinics.

Rich Daniel has an extensive background in the television industry including serving as the Sports Director at WJLA-7 in Washington DC. Rich currently acts as the General Manager for the DC Divas professional women's football team while providing his marketing and production expertise to SSN.

Steve Bassett is a longtime sports broadcaster, announcing college basketball for TVS/NBC Sports, reported for ABC Sports, and anchored sportscasts in Washington DC, Baltimore, St. Louis, and Columbia, South Carolina. He served as play-by-play announcer for college basketball and football for the Universities of Maryland and Missouri, called basketball for George Washington University, and served on the broadcast teams for University of South Carolina basketball and Washington Redskins pre-season football.
